Elaina's special day

6/12/10
For Elaina's birthday this year we decided to let Elaina make all (well almost) all of the choices for the day, with the hope she didn't choose something like Disneyland : )
She decided to start off the day by going to Chuck E. Cheese (including having "Breakfast" there.)

James hit the jackpot

Our winnings, after I had already put about 100 in the counting machine.

Happy birthday girl with her daddy.

When we were finished there she decided she wanted to go on a nature walk to feed the fish and turtles. So we headed to Redondo Beach to the Hopkins Wilderness Park.
Here is a picture of Elaina showing us how old she is.

While there her Best Friend Hailey came over
Elaina just came up beside me and saw the pictures. Her response
"Hey, that's Hailey and me, we had fun walking up the mountain!"
Elaina, Hailey, and Hailey's Mommy Abby.

When everyone got hungry the birthday girl decided she wanted a Happy Meal, so we picked some up and met back at Hailey's house to eat and play for a while.

Later we wento Toy's R Us and let her pick out a toy (since we hadn't had a chance to get her a present). After spending a good hour playing our way through the store, she finally settled on a Blaze Veterinary Kit (Blaze is the cute firefly from the second Tinkerbell movie.)
She then decided on going to the ocean with the seal. (Seal Beach)
So we playing at the playground located at the base of the pier....

Then took a walk down the pier.

No surprise that when we got down to the far end she decided she was hungry for the restaurant that's at the end. So we stopped in to Ruby's for dinner.
By the time we were done it was late, so we quickly stopped by a grocery store and picked up some cupcakes for the kids in Primary the next day at church, then called it a night.
We definitely had one happy birthday girl : ) (and very full tummies)

  1. Holy Smokes. That's a lot for one day. Joe will have to learn to be happy with doing any ONE of those type things for any of his future birthdays. :)
