Nature Center

Elaina has been begging to go hiking again, she was even asking to do it again on the car ride home from the hike on Saturday. I'm not quite willing to drive all the way back out to Malibu again so soon, so, guess where we went this morning?

Yup, there are a few advantages to James being a house spouse, we do get to have more family time together.

My little photographer in training. Eventually I will need to connect her camera up to the computer and post some of her pictures. She's really pretty good at it too.

Turtles!!!

They are hard to see in the photo, but there were two rabbits burrowing a hole and making a little nest in it.

Grandma and Grandpa Williams have taken her to the Nature Center a few times, but it has been 2 years since we have gotten over there as a family : ( Can you believe how much she has changed?

I seriously thought this was a snake until I was brave enought to take a closer look and saw the tiny legs, phew, just a lizard

Oh the level of drama little girls can sum up. We made her leave the HUGE stick (aka branch) she was walking with behind.

We finally got her to cheer up by playing another game of Pooh sticks at the next bridge.

In the end, she was bummed she didn't get to check on "her" tadpoles, but she was happy that there was a waterfall. Even if it was a tiny one.
